At Kids' Swap, we want you to have great
success in selling your items! Make the most of your preparation time by avoiding common errors!
● Price items to sell! Don't overprice. Danita
and Shelly can tell you from personal experience about pricing items too high only to get them back at the end of the sale!
● Use only 60-67# white/pastel cardstock to print your tags.
Copy paper tags will be rejected at drop-off.
●
Don't use tiny safety pins or straight pins. Use medium to large safety pins, so items don't fall off their
hangers and tags stay attached.
● Pin pants and skirts
to the top part of the hanger, not on the bottom. Pants and skirts hung on the bottom of the hanger slide to the
side. Shoppers pass by them without a second glance!
●
When hanging clothing sets, hang the the pants or skirt behind the shirt and be sure to hook the hanger in the safety
pin. Do not hang bottoms under the shirt.
●
When using Ziploc bags to group items, use packaging tape to secure the printed tag on the outside
of the bag and tape the top of the bag closed. The card must be removed from the bag to be sold.
● Use clear packaging tape only. Do not use masking tape or scotch
tape. DO NOT PUT TAPE OVER BARCODES.
● When preparing
larger items or items with more than one piece, put a piece of masking tape on the item(s) with your consignor number and
price in case the barcoded tag gets lost or pieces become separated. Do this on shoes also.
We hope you have a fun and rewarding experience at Kids' Swap!
